Search cannot complete the indexing of your Outlook data

I haven't updated anything yet, as I usually skip the "preview updates" (if you're referring to KB4022168) - I suppose the "real thing" will be released next week? The only two other updates I can see at this time (listed on Important) are Word 2013 and Skype for Business 2015.

Search cannot complete the indexing of your Outlook data

I've noticed several errors in Windows Application Log (Event ID 36) with "Search cannot complete the indexing of your Outlook data. Indexing cannot continue for C:\Users\... (error=0x81404005). If this error continues, contact Microsoft Support." This started some time in June, I suppose. It's...

    iCloud mail with two-factor authentication

Seems this issue comes and goes, so I suppose it's on Apple's side (maybe not all accounts).

    iCloud mail with two-factor authentication

Yes, the app-specific password. Nope, no errors. The credentials are saved, as before. I get the dialog box - I click OK, it goes through, I click Cancel, it gives an error. This is with the scheduled send/receive. If I click the me.com's Inbox (or any other folder), everything's ok.

    iCloud mail with two-factor authentication

Outlook now often (if not with every automatic send/receive or IMAP sync) opens the dialog box "Enter your user name and password for the following server ... imap.mail.me.com" (even though the credentials have been saved). Any idea what could be the problem? If I click OK, it continues the...

    iCloud mail with two-factor authentication

So if I get this right - the username is "[username]@me.com", and the password is now the app-specific one instead of the Apple account one? How about SMTP tab, should the "use same settings as my incoming server" still be checked? EDIT: I somehow managed to make it work. The SMTP check was...

    iCloud mail with two-factor authentication

Today my Outlook 2013 stopped working with iCloud email account. At first I thought it was one of the semi-regular issues when Outlook starts asking for password for no reason (and restart usually helps), but turned out this wasn't the case. The issue remained even after a reboot, so I removed...

    Microsoft Exchange Add-in

It makes sense, and I also thought so. Anyhow, I'll try disabling it and see if it repeats the next time I sync (just to rule out any other coincidence - but then again, I don't use any other add-ins in Outlook). Maybe Apple changed it in one of the last iTunes updates (also iTunes used to start...

    Microsoft Exchange Add-in

Is "Microsoft Exchange add-in" required in Outlook 2013 in order for iTunes sync to work? I disabled it a while ago, and I've noticed that the last two syncs didn't update Contacts on my iPhone. So I checked the Info tab in iTunes, and there were notices about Outlook not being installed (for...

    First LinkedIn, now Facebook...

Now it's for real, I suppose? I was checking the FB settings / apps, and noticed that the Outlook Social Connector is not listed there anymore as apps with FB login.

Finding items from last 7 days

Thanks, I tried the second variant, and it works.

Finding items from last 7 days

In one PST file I have a Search Folder that displays messages received within last 7 days. It was created via "New search folder" dialogs. So far so good. How can I view all items (or at least email messages) received/created within the last 7 days in all PST files? If I click the search box...

    Is Outlook.com EAS in Outlook 2013 "non-renamable"?

Also, is there a way to sync EAS account in Outlook 2013 on demand (i.e. not on schedule)? The Update Folder icon is grayed out there unless I'm in its Inbox.

    Is Outlook.com EAS in Outlook 2013 "non-renamable"?

Never mind, I found this Rename Email Accounts and Data Files in the Folder List and was able to rename it from Send/Receive Groups. :D On a somehow related note - is it now possible to use one of the outlook.com aliases as FROM email in its Outlook 2013 EAS account? I remember only main/login...

    Is Outlook.com EAS in Outlook 2013 "non-renamable"?

I've had Outlook.com account as IMAP in my Outlook 2013. I added it also as EAS account later on, and it was "conveniently" named "username@outlook.com (1)" (as the IMAP account already has the email as its name). Is there any way to rename this EAS account at all? I tried the method used for...

    Two Sync Issues folders

Yes, I had "FROM" or "IMAP" prefixes added, but that was before you could actually rearrange them in the folder list. So now even the re-created OST was "IMAP email@address.domain.ost" - which probably came from the profile, because the account properties was already named correctly as...

    Two Sync Issues folders

Thanks, deleting .OST did the trick. However, it created another issue - how can I rename the "header" of the mailbox as displayed on the left? It was "name@email.something", but now it's "IMAP: name@email.something" (probably because a long time ago I actually had this naming convention...).

    Two Sync Issues folders

On one IMAP account in Outlook 2013 I have two local Sync Issues folders (with corresponding Local Failures subfolders) - Sync Issues and Sync Issues1. Deleting them is disabled. Is there any way to remove it (other than, I suppose, removing and re-creating the account in Outlook)?

    Nothing in Drafts folder

I wrote an email on my iPhone earlier today, and saved it to drafts (I double-checked - it's definitely set to save to server folders, nothing local). If I check Drafts in Outlook, there's nothing there (I refreshed multiple times). So I checked using webmail access, and the draft message is...

    What's the deal with fonts

Fonts bug me most now, yes. Unless it's dependent on the video card.
