Task display now leaves little room for notes

Thank you, Diane! I disabled updates & and ran your code. It took care of the problem. I'm a little concerned that I might need a security update in the future. However, if I do decide to try a future update, will I always be able to go back to this one by running your code in an...

2105 (Build 14026.20246 Click-to-Run) This probably happened with a recent update, but I'm not sure how to revert to an older one.

Task display now leaves little room for notes

Thanks again, Diane. No, I don't have a vertical toolbar. It seems that the subject line is extremely large when I click on a task.

Task display now leaves little room for notes

Thank you, Diane. I saw that, but it I like to see those commands on the ribbon. Somehow, the ribbon got larger (or so it seems) & I also seem to recall that the categories changed shape. Did something change or update recently?

Task display now leaves little room for notes

When I click on a task all of a sudden, the upper half of my display is so large that I have to scroll to see the notes that I've put in. I don't know what happened, but the top half is too large. How can I change this? Thanks in advance.

    Syncing Outlook & iPhone Calendars

Hi John: Thank you for your reply & advice. I found that using iCloud didn't do what I wanted. My situation is a little more complicated. I have Outlook on two machines: WinXP & Win10. Quite honestly, I prefer the Outlook 2003 that I have on WinXP. I copy the Outlook.pst files back & forth...

    Syncing Outlook & iPhone Calendars

Thank you for your reply. I'm still somewhat confused. I have a Microsoft account, but don't have an Outlook.com account. When I went to Outlook.com (Outlook – free personal email and calendar from Microsoft), it asks if I want to create an account. 1. Is this what I have to do first? 2. If...

    Syncing Outlook & iPhone Calendars

I currently sync my iPhone & Outlook Calendars using iTunes. Recently, many people using iTunes received this message: "support for syncing contacts and calendars has been deprecated and will be removed in a future version of iTunes". I only use Outlook for Calendars & Tasks (& I don't need to...

Changing the font that the task view shows

Outlook 2003. But I just checked my resolution on each machine: Win10 is 1920x1080 WinXP is 1440x900 Not sure why I set it up that way, but the items display is smaller (e.g. desktop icons & their description) on Win10.

Changing the font that the task view shows

Thank you very much!! I see that my problem lies elsewhere. I have 2 machines: XP & Win10 using 1 monitor. I copy my outlook.pst back & forth between the 2 machines when I change one. However, the spacing is different on both machines. The the view of the task list is different on both...

Changing the font that the task view shows

Using Outlook 2016, I tried to change the default font that shows up when you view tasks in one of the views. When I choose "Customize current view", I can only find a way to change the font for column & row headings, not the actual entries. This is what I mean: I would like to change the font...

Can't paste an image into a task

I have Outlook 2016 on Windows 10. All of a sudden (started yesterday), when pasting a picture (png, jpg,, etc) into a task, it shows up while the task is open. As soon as I close the task & reopen, the image disappears. In it's place, is a placeholder, which, if clicked, gives layout options...

    Add Paste Unformatted to QAT

Using Outlook 2016 with Win10. I looked at an old thread, Macro - paste as plain text, to see if I could do this. However, when I right click & go to "Customize the Ribbon" & then click on QAT, look at all commands, I cannot find a "Paste unfromatted" option to add. I have a Paste Special...

    Searching tasks that are archived

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I tried "All task items". I just tried "All Outlook items" & it worked this time. It also gives me results in Contacts & current tasks. Is there a reason that it won't work for either All Task Items or Current Folder?

    Searching tasks that are archived

I have Outlook 2016 & Windows 10 Pro. When I click on my archived tasks folder, it doesn't show anything (nothing is due). When I click in the search box, it doesn't find any tasks that have been archived. How can I search my archive.pst for past tasks? Thank you in advance.

Add, remove, & reorder folder pane

Thanks again. But I can't find that icon (show A to Z). And when I close Outlook & reopen it, it only shows the calendars in the folder pane. I have to manually press Ctrl+6 to show all the folders.

Add, remove, & reorder folder pane

Hi Diane: Thanks for the link to the article. I do have Outlook 2016. Is there a way to reorder the folders because I can't seem to find it? Also, while I can press Ctrl+6 to get the folder pane to show all folders, that used to be my default way of opening Outlook. Now, when it opens to...

Add, remove, & reorder folder pane

Hi Diane: Thank you so much. I got rid of seeing 2 calendars. However, when I pressed Ctrl+2, it shows the calendars in the folder pane, but not tasks, contacts, notes & shortcuts. I just wanted to reorder the list. How can I get the other items back & reorder the list? Edit: I found that...

Add, remove, & reorder folder pane

Somehow, my folder pane has reordered itself. I've attached what it looks like now. I don't use Outlook 2016 (on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit) for mail...just for calendar, tasks, & contacts. On the image below, I would like to: 1. Eliminate the 2 calendars in the folder pane. 2. Get rid of inbox...
