When I click on a task all of a sudden, the upper half of my display is so large that I have to scroll to see the notes that I've put in. I don't know what happened, but the top half is too large.

How can I change this?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, Diane. I saw that, but it I like to see those commands on the ribbon. Somehow, the ribbon got larger (or so it seems) & I also seem to recall that the categories changed shape. Did something change or update recently?

do you have a vertical toolbar on the right side of outlook? if so, touch mode is on. The button to turn it off and on is in the quick access toolbar overflow.

Thanks again, Diane. No, I don't have a vertical toolbar.

It seems that the subject line is extremely large when I click on a task.

Yeah, it does look bigger - what is your version # ?

Type cmd on the Start screen to find the Command Prompt then right click on it and choose Run as Administrator

Paste this in the command window and press enter - this is the April 23 build. You'll need to turn off updates or outlook will reinstall.
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.13901.20462

If you want to use a different build, get the build # from Release notes for Current Channel releases - Office release notes and update the command line.

Thank you, Diane! I disabled updates & and ran your code. It took care of the problem. I'm a little concerned that I might need a security update in the future. However, if I do decide to try a future update, will I always be able to go back to this one by running your code in an administrator command prompt?

Rolling back will remove the security update... we'll know in a couple of updates if that new form design is going to be permanent. It's used in office 365 - but the perpetual versions use the older format. They screwed the autocomplete list up last month - this could be a screw up too.

Thanks, Diane. I've turned off updates, but I'll keep checking this forum to see how the updates change things. Perhaps this should be put in the "Forum Notes, New Features, & FAQ" or "Forum Updates".
