I have 2 machines with Outlook 2003 on WinXP & Outlook 2016 on Win10. I copy the outlook.pst file back & forth to keep them in sync.
In Outlook 2003, I have extensive categories that I use without any color. When I transfer the outlook.pst file to Outlook 2016, the category transfers with it...fine. However, if I try to add a category in Outlook 2016, I only get color choices.
Is there a way to copy my master category list from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2016, so that my "word" categories with show up in a dropdown list? i.e. I would like to be able to create a task in Outlook 2016, assign a "word" category from a dropdown list, & be able to transfer it back to Outlook 2003.
Thank you,
Phil
