    Support ending for Outlook 2021

Hit post too soon… Office 2021 is now considered “end of life”. A 5 year lifespan is typical for software. It’s still going to work, as long as something in a new os doesn’t break features. That usually takes 10+ years after release. 🙂

    Support ending for Outlook 2021

Yes, updates ended. Support services ended too, but that was nonexistent from Microsoft so not many end users / consumers had access to it, only corps paying for it. Because most exploits these days are ‘specially crafted email, you need to do what the email says’ security is probably not...

Rule on a shared mailbox only runs when my Outlook is open

Yeah, there are a few actions (and some conditions) that force the rule client side, so it only runs when that client is opened. Except, shared mailboxes add a complication if opened as shared - the rule only runs when it's opened as an account. Conditional formatting is probably the best...

Duplicate Driver Routes, Fixed by Synchronizing Calendars Between the Two Accounts

I think it would be hgelpful if you shared the steps.

Unable to save complete email to File Explorer

Does the last message have all the previous replies in it? If everyone quoted the message they replied to, the copy saved in the folder would have the entire conversation. If you select all messages in the conversation, this will save them as individual messages. If selecting the first one in...

I use Outlook 2021 is there a way to see if there are any updates

Go into Windows Settings > Default Apps and search for Outlook (classic) - click on it and change the iCalendar type to classic. Also, change mailto and others to classic if they are on new outlook.

    remove from this device ?

New Outlook doesn't actually use POP - it will sync the mailbox to the Microsoft cloud then that syncs down to new Outlook. If the mailbox supports imap, I believe it will add it as IMAP - but don't have any accounts to test it with and verify that it uses the pop protocol - just Gmail and yahoo...

Can't open embedded links within Nextdoor emails in Outlook 2021

The browser selection won't apply - when Outlook uses the View in browser option, it creates an MHTML file and only IE can open it. The browser selection was limited to subscriptions at one time. Looks like it still is - (this is from OL 2024, but would apply to older perpetual versions too.)...

Downloading everything from my email address

BTW - if you can't use classic Outlook, try exporting by folders, not the entire mailbox at once.

Downloading everything from my email address

How large is your mailbox? Do you have the ability to use classic Outlook? That might work better as it exports faster.

Can't open embedded links within Nextdoor emails in Outlook 2021

I figured that once I looked at my own messages from nextdoor. If you click Forward can you click the link (in the forward copy)? You'll need to use Ctrl+Click in the Forward... actually, you might want to try that in the message. You could try a quick repair - don't use online repair as it...

Can't open embedded links within Nextdoor emails in Outlook 2021

So no error messages? BTW - Outlook often doesn't offer Copy Hyperlink if the link is on a button. Copy will copy the button. But a second right click will usually bring up the copy hyperlink option. It's not really an issue with previews and the link appears valid. (It brings up the...

Search bar moved on its own?

One thing to note with the perpetual versions (and older versions) - Microsoft uses the same codebase for all versions of office 2016 and newer and use registry or licensing files to control who gets what feature. Occasionally they screw up and the perpetual versions have subscription features...

How to fix disconnected Outlook account

As an FYI, this specific error is related to DNS issues and would likely be a result of ISP outage, especially if you use their DNS. I use google's public DNS - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to avoid issues with the ISP DNS. It seems to update fairly quickly with changes while the ISP DNS often needed a...

    remove from this device ?

If you need POP3 and PST files, stick with classic Outlook. Do you have an Office 365 subscription? That is required to use a PST in new outlook, I'm pretty to import or export - definitely to open a pst in the folder list. Classic Outlook needs to be installed to use pst, although this will...

    remove from this device ?

If using new outlook, remove from this device will only remove it from that Outlook - the question is asked because 'remove from all devices' would apply to any mobile outlook or new Outlook that also has the account set up. This is because Microsoft syncs the mailbox to the Microsoft cloud then...

Best way to keep clinic quotes organized in Outlook?

A lot depends on the number of clinics or countries - too many folders can be unmanageable, as can too many categories. Search folders can be better - file by country or even just all the clinics in one folder then use search or a search folder when needed. OWA has seqarch folders - it also...

Weeding out duplicate Outlook contacts after failed sync with iTunes

Do all have that date or just the duplicates? Did you try grouping by modified date then full name? Or group by full name, sort by modified.

Hiding an email account in the folders pane

No, not if you want to hide the email address - you'd need a second profile. If you just want to 'hide' folders, you can collapse it - but anyone can expand it. If the account is pop, you can deliver mail to a different folder in a PST or rename the PST so it's not so obvious.

    Outlook Classic Rules

It's not uncommon for rules to work when you created it with but not later. If you are using the from address, edit the rule to use the email address, not the display name. You can use words in the sender address and use the full address as the 'words'.
