Autocomplete not working on new email account

I recently added my wife's live.com email address to her Outlook 2010. Doing so created a folder in her Outlook contacts that contains all the contacts that are in the live.com contact list. The problem is that Outlook does not autocomplete any of those email addresses when she starts typing...

Spam folder not showing in Outlook

You are correct. I was able to go in the webhost (Hostgator) control panel and disable spam filters, and remove the folder. Thanks for the help.

Spam folder not showing in Outlook

OK thanks. I followed your directions and have the folder showing up now in Outlook. I do see the folder in web access, does that rule out the possibility that the iPhone created it? Thanks

Spam folder not showing in Outlook

I've recently set up an imap account in Outlook on my two computers. I've been missing some emails and now I see that they are in a Spam subfolder, under the Inbox, that I only can see when I use my iPhone. Is there a way to see this folder in Outlook, or preferably stop any emails from going...

    iCloud Calendar invitations not sending

I've been doing some more testing, just using the browser interface to make it easier to try to understand. I've been creating events and sending invites to two hotmail accounts, and one godaddy account. It seems to be inconsistent, sometimes it will send to one or two, sometimes to none...

    iCloud Calendar invitations not sending

Thanks for the help. It is a cox.com email address. I just did a test, using my own iCloud account via a browser (it is a hotmail email address). I created three different events, and sent out invitations to two other email accounts I have, one is another hotmail account, the other is a Godaddy...

    iCloud Calendar invitations not sending

My friend's Outlook calender (on iCloud) is no longer sending out invitations when it should. I kind of think the issue is actually with iCloud since it also fails when the event is set up using a browser, but not sure what is cause and what is effect. Any ideas? Thanks

    Safe Recipients list

Can you explain the purpose of the Safe Recipients lists in Junk Mail Options? It seems to me like I am the only recipient, so why need a list? Thanks

    Hotmail account on Outlook 2010

You were correct, Diane. I just reinstalled Office and thought all the updates were done. But more came through, and now the setup succeeded. Thanks

    Hotmail account on Outlook 2010

My ***@hotmail.com account has been migrated to Outlook Mail. When I try to add it to Outlook 2010 using Auto Account Setup, it tells me it needs to download the Hotmail Connector, which I thought is no longer needed or used, and won't let me proceed. Any ideas? Thanks

    The coming Outlook migration

I've not read anything that would indicate any problems will be had with either Outlook or IMAP. You should be fine.

    iCloud problem

My friend had AppleCare so I suggested she let them give it a shot. The senior representative she got on with worked diligently for over an hour, doing nothing particularly surprising, could not get it going, and escalated it to the engineering team or some such thing, they will get back to her...

    iCloud problem

This problem only started happening when the computer updated to Windows 10, but also it seems like a new version of iCloud was released last week too.

    iCloud problem

I could not sign out, as it would never let me sign in. The version is the latest version, I just downloaded it. Programs and Features says it is 5.2.1.69, while on the icloud community I see it referred to as 10.2, so not sure. What I've tried so far: I uninstalled all Apple software...

    Extra PST File

It is possible that one of those pst files is not associated with an email account, and only holds contact and calendar info.

    Extra PST File

If you look in the folder list on the left side, and right click on each email account and select Data File properties/Advanced, you can see which pst file is used for which email account. You can also go to File/Account Settings Email tab and highlight an email account and look down below to...

    iCloud problem

My friend's computer upgraded itself to Windows 10 and iCloud stopped working with Outlook. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the new version, but when she goes to sign in it says "An error occurred during authentication". The error is different than the error you would get if the password or...

    Problem moving folders

Thanks for the reminder about using Export. I tend to forget about it and drag folders instead, which is time consuming.

    Problem moving folders

There are about 50 folders that I need to move, I'm not sure what you mean by "compared to the total number". But these folders are all of the folders in a Gmail account that she is not using anymore. I'm moving them to another partition on the same hard drive, to free up space on the C: drive...

    Problem moving folders

A friend had a huge amount of folders in the Inbox of a Gmail IMAP account that was slowing things down in Outlook 2013. I created a .pst file and started moving the folders into it by dragging and dropping them, one at a time. But with some of them, when I drag them over, they are empty, no...
