Hotmail account on Outlook 2010

My ***@hotmail.com account has been migrated to Outlook Mail. When I try to add it to Outlook 2010 using Auto Account Setup, it tells me it needs to download the Hotmail Connector, which I thought is no longer needed or used, and won't let me proceed. Any ideas?

Do you have all updates installed for Office 2010? There is a required update you need to have installed. Then it should find the right server. Also, if the account was just moved, you might need to wait up to 24 hours for DNS to find it on the correct server. But definitely make sure all updates are installed.
 
You were correct, Diane. I just reinstalled Office and thought all the updates were done. But more came through, and now the setup succeeded.
