Just started using the new Outlook & my hotmail address. Tested it sending an email to my Yahoo acc't on PC and Yahoo is not receiving it. It goes to a local co's email-- gvtc.com, but not Yahoo. What's the problem? My niece's business address is on Yahoo and I need to communicate with her. K.
 
it's a non-delivery report. Do the messages arrive if you log in to outlook.com to send them?

What antivirus / security software do you use? some software includes a mail filter and could be blocking it.

When I use hotmail it uses outlook. I have not blocked it at yahoo. I use Avast. I've tried the Yahoo forums w/ no success.
 
When you use the hotmail website, it uses outlook.com, not Outlook 2013. The website uses a different SMTP server and bypasses potential problems between the server & Outlook 2013.

Disable Avast and send a test message - avast is one of the programs that filters mail.
 
I finally fixed the problem. Two things in Yahoo-- first- edit acc't under 'Settings'-Add Extra Email to 'receive' emails from Hotmail and second, under My Account, Edit Acc't- add it as a tertiary address for Yahoo to contact me that I 'changed' something in my personal acc't. That fixed it. But, none of these suggestions were found anywhere when I Googled the problem or under Outlook Forum or Yahoo Forum. I was just very persistent.
