Hotmail drafts started on desktop disappear, but show in web version of Outlook

Mostly use Outlook on desktop to work with our resident association Hotmail account, though thanks to iffy operation of Contact Lists in that scenario on the desktop, I use Outlook through the browser from time to time (Contact Lists seem to work more reliably there).
Just recently notice that if I start to draft an email (using our own email address in the To line, ready to add the Contact List to the Bcc line) and then save it and close...
... it never shows up in the Drafts folder on the desktop Outlook, but does show up on the browser version of Outlook. I find that odd, as the bottom of desktop Outlook confirms that folder updating is going fine.
Any ideas? Am wondering if all this is due to a recent update... again.

Hello

You can try these steps:

Check Sync Settings: Ensure your Drafts folder is set to sync.

Update Outlook: Make sure the desktop app is fully updated.

Repair Office: Run a repair on your Office installation.

Sign Out/In: Try signing out and back into your Microsoft account.

Hi, thanks for your answers. Outlook always updated.
Issue thankfully seems to have gone - happened most when I selected an email, read it in preview pane then clicked reply in reading pane.
Typed out reply, but of course no Save button (though it did get saved).
If I clicked off the message then went back, nothing now viewable in Preview, and nothing in Drafts. However if I logged in via browser to Outlook.com, then my draft was in Drafts.
Guess fixed with a recent update... oh for the days when they had to get it more or less right first time due to relying on floppies/CDs ...
