Outlook 365 - Toolbar - Close all items - missing?

later . . . I checked "Desktop Outlook" as I was sure there was a button there. Indeed . . . Beats me how it got there though :-) Seems then that Toolbars are not synchronized either.

Outlook 365 - Tasks are not synchronizing?

Thanks again. Hmm... that's a bit of a disappointment. Many of those tasks are in fact reminders. Check this, check that. If I postpone a task on my desktop, I would not know until when, when using my laptop. I assume this also counts for Outlook on desktop, meaning, if a user is on vacation for...

Outlook 365 - Toolbar - Close all items - missing?

AFAIK there was a button on the toolbar, something like : Close all items. Can't find it - how to reinstate it? Thanks.

Outlook 365 - Tasks are not synchronizing?

Is it correct that tasks that I have postponed within Outlook 365 on my desktop PC show up within Outlook on my laptop? Seems that part of Outlook isn't synchronizing then, i.e. I am getting quit a list of some items on my laptop. Thanks.

Delete duplicate emails - subscription notifications

Thank you Diane. My main profile IS indeed Exchange now. But back then it was POP3. As for the 'tablet-issue'' I now realize, the tablet software (AquaMail) by default selected imap protocol - I think it could not be changed to POP - and probably the issues were because of that... Anyway...

Delete duplicate emails - subscription notifications

Diane, thank you so much. Have been thinking this over and over in the meantime, but all in all it will be too complex, too many varieties on possibilities. Let it rest. Still thanks for getting back on this. As you know I just recently changed to Office 365/Exchange. As I was (and still am) a...

Delete duplicate emails - subscription notifications

AFAIK the current tools/scripts check on entire duplicates, i.e. title, size, date-time stamp, etc. That is correct. Another category of duplicates are those of notifications on subscribed forum threads. So, from forum XYZ with contents that merely exists of 'userx has replied on .. ' click on...

Wide Line Spacing in Folder pane 2016

Yes, you are right, I am using compact view, with both 'Message Preview' and 'Reading Pane' = Off. Unread mail is displayed in bold blue - perfectly fine with me. Indeed when reducing the width of the Outlook window, the blue bar shows up, once column headers are wrapping.

Outlook 2016 This rule will only run when you check your email in Outlook....

Ah.... I see and think I understand: the other rules were created whilst using my POP3 account, whereas this one was created whilst Exchange account. Thanks Diane.

Outlook 2016 This rule will only run when you check your email in Outlook....

After I created a rule I get a pop-up reading: "This rule will only run when you check your email in Outlook. If Outlook isn't running, this rule won't work for email you check online or from another device" Unsure what it means. It is only with this rule. (Client only is added to the rule...

Wide Line Spacing in Folder pane 2016

The 'Coming soon' thing also adds a thin, blue, vertical bar on the left to each message (in this list view). Hope it can be disabled though... as, personally, I don't need it. Without versus with blue 'bar' comparison.

Double line spacing - solved with minor drawback

On Internet there are numerous threads on the issue of double line spacing when sending mails to Gmail back and forth. I had a macro running to solve that. Though the macro is still in place, after changing to Office 365, it stopped working. see: Run macro automatically at sending an email...

Outlook 365 ignores ForceOSTpath - how to relocate it?

Thanks Diane. I was using a 3rd party tool that filters/marks spam/viruses/scam based on spamblock-lists (spamhouse/spamcop) That worked fine. Have been using more than 15 years. It works fine with POP3: mail is first filtered before it is retrieved from the mail server. However, with IMAP and...

Outlook 365 ignores ForceOSTpath - how to relocate it?

Is that based on Exchange or IMAP Diane? The below may be interesting. Today I tried again and again... 4x Remove account within Outlook, delete the .ost file (also the tmp ost) Then add new account, selected IMAP, advanced, entered server settings, when done, the .ost file is on C: Also tried...

How to apply view settings on all accounts and folders

I have no problem setting view a few times, but with a number of accounts with a number of folders each account, it is boring to change it for each and every folder... Probably that is how Outlook works: just 'set and apply to all folders' is too easy, you have to do it the hard way, with...

How to recover rules after switch from POP3 to IMAP

Only solution : remove IMAP account, setup POP3 account, using the .pst file, then the rules are visible again and can be exported to .rwz file. I did so successfully. However, I don't know (didn't try yet) whether Outlook (365) allows importing the rules file (.rwz)

Outlook 365 ignores ForceOSTpath - how to relocate it?

I have set up Outlook over half a dozen times, with ForceOSTPath. Each time removing account, each time removing .ost files. Rebooted same times. The .ost file will be stored on C: registry settings before install of new account and after. Maybe the latest Office 365 does not allow...
