Outlook 2016 This rule will only run when you check your email in Outlook....

After I created a rule I get a pop-up reading:

"This rule will only run when you check your email in Outlook. If Outlook isn't running, this rule won't work for email you check online or from another device"

Unsure what it means. It is only with this rule. (Client only is added to the rule name)

I want to move 'Pinterest' mails to a Pinterest folder. Pinterest is using 2 (or more?) domains (inspire.pinterest.com and explore.pinterest.com)
 
That messages means it's a client side rules and will only run when Outlook is open and downloading mail. If outlook is closed and you check mail on a smartphone, the message wont be moved.

If the rule is server-side, its moved as soon as it hits the mailbox and would be in the correct folder on other devices too.
 
Ah.... I see and think I understand:
the other rules were created whilst using my POP3 account, whereas this one was created whilst Exchange account.
