i am seeing an Outlook 'security' update KB5002529 installed on 12/29/31. What do say about uninstalling it? see if that corrects the problem?

if 'display results as query is typed" is turned off, even by an errant update, might that indicate a setting that controls it, aside from the setting in options? perhaps a reg entry? i've looked but don't see such a setting. (which should in no way be taken as definitive)

I notice that if i enter a knowingly wrong password, it immediately tells me that it is wrong. If i enter what i believe is the correct password, it keeps recycling asking for password. i've tried entering 5 times, it keeps recycling.
