Outlook ribbon customisations do not 'stick'

I am trying to remove STANDARD Ribbon commands. It can be done: I successfully do it and the deed shows when I press OK. What does not work is that the change does not 'stick'. As I explained, the removed commands repopulate the ribbon after variable and unpredictable lengths of time.

Outlook ribbon customisations do not 'stick'

Thanks, Diane. No, when I click the All Apps on the main Outlook (365, on the windows computer) window (showing Mail), It is empty and says 'You don't have any Apps yet. Select Add Apps to browse and install Apps'. So, this is definitely not part of the issue I am having, which is related to...

Outlook ribbon customisations do not 'stick'

Thanks, Diane. However, I don't think I am trying to remove 'web add-ins from the toolbar'!? What do you mean by this? Please give me an example, as we may be talking of the same thing using different terminology. What I am trying to customise, i.e., remove, are entries under the Main Tabs...

Outlook ribbon customisations do not 'stick'

I cannot think of anything which would be preventing Outlook from updating the files. They seem to be updated after I do the changes, in the sense that those changes are applied and become functional. However, they eventually disappear and the Ribbon reverts to showing all the rubbish (for my...

Thank you very much for all the comments and suggestions you sent me, Hornblower! I will look into all of them shortly, starting with the post by Robert 365. Will definitely report back as soon as!

Outlook ribbon customisations do not 'stick'

I have seen a few threads elsewhere on this, but none provides a truly working clarification and solution. Simply put -- I am looking for ways to make customized edits (remove some options, add others, etc.) to my MS Office Outlook ribbon stick, i.e., remain saved and implemented. For example...

How to mark as Junk any message not from Contacts (in Outlook.com)

The situation I was asked to help with is: My friend uses her Gmail account on Outlook.com (i.e., not Office Outlook). Her Inbox is choc-a-block with Junk/Spam type of email, to the point that she is giving up using email (and, thus, missing some time-sensitive important messages which go...

Outlook Calendar deleted appointments not in Deleted Items folder

Oh, yes, they are! Not sure why I could not find them before I asked the question! (I do not use the reading pane, so that is not the reason). Thanks for the prompt reply!

Outlook Calendar deleted appointments not in Deleted Items folder

My Deleted Items folder in Outlook 365 (Exchange Server account type) shows deleted emails, contacts, tasks, but NOT any deleted Calendar appointments!? Why is that and how can it be fixed so as to show deleted appointments and provide a tool to undo the deletion or recover the item?

Change location of Outlook SecureTemporary Files Folder

Thanks, Diane! I may not have explained it well. The issue was not to change the Save folder. This one I had already changed, by creating a key under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options as a DefaultPath, and pointed it to my D:\Data folder, which is the directory where I...

Change location of Outlook SecureTemporary Files Folder

Oh! I did not know about the comment not displaying whilst it is still awaiting moderation. In this case, sorry for reposting it several times... And as to the actual issue - are you then saying that there is no way at all to point Outlook to open the attachment from another folder? Is this a...

Change location of Outlook SecureTemporary Files Folder

On an older forum, this issue is touched upon, but I cannot find the answer there to this specific problem. I actually entered a comment on that thread yesterday and and the day before, but my comment is never displayed when I refresh that page, so I guess it is 'disappearing' somewhere in...
