I just migrated to “New” Outlook on my Macbook. (Which, so far, has been ok, despite my worries after reading about the many problems/complaints online). I have an MS365 Subscription. When I go into settings on Outlook, the subscription renewal date on the Mac is 9/3/25 vs 7/23/25 on the iPad. I received two emails from MS this week stating the upcoming renewal of 7/23/25. (I don’t recall checking the renewal date on Outlook prior to migrating, so it is possible 9/3/25 date was always there).

I logged onto my MS account and see the renewal date is 7/23/25, which is correct. It’s always been that. The date never was 9/3. I thought well, I’ll see what happens on 7/23 - if the 9/3 date changes, but what if this mismatch causes a problem??? Will it? I don’t know!

Under “Subscriptions” in Account on Outlook, it says “Microsoft 365 Personal. Renews 9/3/25. And there is a “Refresh” button underneath that statement. Should I click it? I don’t want click on things I don’t know about, and I know nothing about this feature. Or should I just leave it and see what happens on 7/23? I didn’t know if having this date mismatch could cause a problem and would like some feedback from the community thank you! Donna

They should both be the same date. Are you sure they are both using the same Microsoft account?

re: new outlook. Yeah, its not bad. The legacy version has some features new outlook does not - like import / export (which is coming).

yes they are the same account. I only have one account. I will double check things.

My subscription renewed on 7/23/25 to MS365 Personal Classic, as I wanted. I just checked the subscription renewal date on the Mac and it now shows 9/3/2026!! So, the iPad and iPhone show the correct date (actually they show 7/22/26) and the Mac shows the September date. I don’t know why they’d be different, but it seems to be ok since everything moved ahead one year.

So yeah ... I have Microsoft Office Home & Business for Mac 2021 ... on my Mac-Mini 6,1 (still on Catalina 64-bit).

And while I don't use it, sure enough ... I have Microsoft Office on my iPad Pro (iPadOS 16.7.11) . Looks like it is using the MS365 subscription portal to facilitate that functionality. I even put all those icons in their own iPad Folder-Box (like I did for Pages/Numbers/Keynote).

Yall just remember that while they all have similar functionality (especially the Windows and Mac version ... since they are "real" personal computers) ... the iPad version is completely different (on a whole separate Operating System). Carry on friends ...
