Outlook on 3 Computers Shows Different Total Items on Same Account

Thanks for your help Diane. I logged into my account through a web browser and got a fourth different number for unread inbox items! I went through your clicks and ended at a dialog that shows username and Offline Settings. Offline Settings has a greyed-out checkmark and the slider is at 1...

Outlook on 3 Computers Shows Different Total Items on Same Account

I have several desktop and laptop computers with the current version of Outlook running in Windows 10. I never looked at the item number counts very closely until tonight when I had to rebuild some profiles. The same email account on 3 different computers shows a different number of unread...

ERROR: None of your email accounts could send to this recipient

Well, not hearing any suggestions, I created a new Profile with these two accounts. The new profile sends to @outlook.com without issues. Does this mean I need to add my other 22 accounts to the new profile to fully recover from this error? Do profiles go "bad," and if so, how often and why...

ERROR: None of your email accounts could send to this recipient

From Google searches I have flushed the dns cache and deleted and recreated the account that will not send. Still get the same error. From OWA I can successfully send to the @outlook.com account--so it has to be something locally with my Outlook

ERROR: None of your email accounts could send to this recipient

This error just started to pop up today. It is contained in a bounce back message from "System Administrator." I have several email accounts. I get this error whenever I try to send to my @outlook.com account. Happens whatever account I try to send from EXCEPT if I try to send it to the...

Sent mail not showing in Sent Items folder; but they can be found with Search

The message I replied to was in the standard Inbox. I do not have any special view sets; don't use that feature.

Sent mail not showing in Sent Items folder; but they can be found with Search

I should add, I logged into this account from another computer and my test email was displayed, but the missing one was not--but again I could find it with search on the second computer.

Sent mail not showing in Sent Items folder; but they can be found with Search

First time I have seen this behavior. Sent several emails today and then went to check the "Sent Items" folder. Some of my emails were there, but there was one that was missing. I searched for the sent email item, and the search did find it. Looks like it is stored in the Sent Items folder...

Same file "stuck" on top of file list in "Attach File" drop down

Well, I have spent hours on this problem and I have solved it by mere accident. Turns out that the file "pinned" to the top of the Insert File drop down was a file that is stored in a OneDrive folder that has been shared to me. I'm not sure if that file was still "open" in another account...

Same file "stuck" on top of file list in "Attach File" drop down

I use Outlook 2016 on 3 desktops and 3 laptops. This problem only seems to occur on one of my desktop systems. Normally, when I compose a mail message, and want to "Attach File" I click on the Insert tab and then "Attach File." This action causes a drop-down to appear with what seems to be a...

Sent Items Folder is Present but Not Displayed

Additional Information: OK, upon further review I do see a "Sent Items" folder in my Outlook.com account. Now it gets even more interesting. The email I sent last night from name@myISP.com account shows up in my Outlook.com "Sent Items" folder. The email clearly shows it came from...

Sent Items Folder is Present but Not Displayed

I have four systems with Outlook 2016. Each Outlook installation has more than 5 active email accounts--mostly the same. Where possible, I have the accounts setup as IMAP. None of the email accounts on the four systems display a "Sent Items" folder; they do have other versions such as "Sent,"...

Spell Checker Changes -- Not as Predictive as Previously

Thank you Diane. Relief to find out that the new speller checker is dumber and it is not I! I totally concur, the suggestions are no where close to what my intended word is--the old version was much "smarter." I guess the work around is to become a better speller--but that can not...

Spell Checker Changes -- Not as Predictive as Previously

I have an Office 365 subscription with the "always update" settings and using Outlook 2016. Several weeks ago, it seemed to install a major update--at least I got a pop-up asking if I wanted to learn what was new. Since that update, the Spell Checker does not seem to work the same. I am a...

Recent Update Did not Fix Search Problems

Thanks Diane. Waited through the holiday weekend and checked all my 5 systems this morning, including a W10 Pro version. Still no update (last update on all systems reported as 06/13/17 and check for updates returns your computer is up to date.

Recent Update Did not Fix Search Problems

Thanks for your reply Diane. I have Windows 10. My update history shows KB4022725 06/13/2017. When I ask Windows 10 to check for updates, it says I am up to date. Wondering why it did not install KB4022716 when it checks for updates. Do I click on that update link in your reply to get that...

Recent Update Did not Fix Search Problems

I have been (somewhat) patiently waiting for the Outlook 2016 search problem to resolve itself--as yet it has not. Search appears to work without error messages when searching in a mailbox account or a folder. However, when I search in "All Mail Boxes," I get the following three errors. ! in...

Outlook adds strange characters inserted into the Subject Line

I did some more research on this problem. I copied the subject line and pasted it into a text editor. This is what I got: Dear crown192br , ETX ETX ACK STX We ETX ETX ACK STX can ETX ETX ACK STX ... I understand these are ASCII code characters, but why do they appear this way in my Outlook...

Outlook adds strange characters inserted into the Subject Line

Please note the strange characters in the subject field in the following image: I have Outlook 2013 running on a desktop and a laptop. This only occurs on my desktop version. I have done several different virus scans. I have turned off the AVAST antivirus protection. I have created a new...
