Outlook 2003 freezing when clicking on TO button

Outlook freezing/hanging when I click the "TO", "CC", and "BCC" button to access the address book. I can receive emails, reply to emails, send emails (manually typing the address or via cached address) without any problems. I can open the address book without any problems. I get no error, but have to use the task manager to close Outlook. I can restart Outlook just fine, but still have the same problem.

I tried recreating outlook profile, I also tried running pstscan on pst file. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sorry, I was out of town and missed some posts.

When you recreated the profile did you use a unique new name for it or recreate it using the same name as before?

did you see if it worked in Safe mode? To open Outlook in Safe mode: Close Outlook then hold Ctrl as you click on the Outlook icon. You'll get a message asking if you want to start in Safe mode. Click Ok.
