I have had this problem only since changing the setting for exchange caching to OFF, after finding that in the past week or so it had been (unknown to me) set ON, to 12 months only.
When attempting to reply to an email, send an email - even a text-only short one to myself, there is an unending...
I have looked at the circumstances that cause the marking of a rule as Client Only, but they do not seem to be applicable.
I don't have a PST involved and not playing a sound. One of the rules is intended to act on emails that are forwarded from another domain (not my outlook.com email address)...
OK, as I thought.
Some months ago, you recommended using Outlook 32-bit rather than 64-bit, I think? Now that I have to re-install everything, and do have both 32- and 64-bit for Office 2013 - what would you say?
Thanks Diane.
One comment there which you replied to concerns profiles made with ActiveSync.
My 2 outlook accounts were initially under ActiveSync but I assume that when (months ago) they were transitioned to Exchange Server, the procedure including the registry setting are OK as the article is...
I have Outlook 2013 on a SSD boot drive (Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, latest Creators Update etc), running 2 outlook.com accounts - both now working well with Microsoft Exchange.
I would like to move (copy) the two Outlook .ost files onto another newly-created Windows 10 Pro SSD drive - for the...
I have 3 calendars (in addition to the Birthdays) in my outlook.com accounts - which appear to be connected to the containers associated with email accounts me@outlook.com, me@hotmail.com, and to a PST file that I dump various mail into. The PST file is named 2016.pst, and so the associated...
This problem seems to have only commenced in the last few weeks (I notice that it was discussed in 2009).
It is a problem only because the other user is unsure if there are pictures that should be viewed, and can't be - eg, maps to guide direction.
Two phones with Outlook installed, with OS...
I am using Outlook 2013, with an outlook.om and a Hotmail.com email account. Both have been converted to use the Microsoft Exchange server, some months ago now.
When sending emails from the outlook.com email acct via my (windows 8.1) mobile phone, the emails send immediately.
But I can wait 2...
Today 11/11/2016 6AM emails from Microsoft advising both accounts (Outlook.com, Hotmail.com) had been transitioned to Exchange Server, and I should re-establish (etc).
Nice to have that.
At 12:11AM, 3 of the PersonMetaData things arrived. It will be interesting to see whether they have ceased...
Outlook.com is definitely on Exchange. Hotmail is not. This is my desktop with Outlook 2013.
I use a Windows Phone (not Samsung device), no problems as far as I know. It is running WP 8.1 (my choice not to upgrade, because of limited memory storage - 8Gb). I don't want to remove the Outlook...
Hotmail - well, confusing. The online Hotmail.com emails show the Outlook Mail header, but my desktop account re-established itself with Exchange ActiveSync.
After months of waiting, my Outlook.com account transitioned over to Exchange, but not in the way I expected.
First, I noticed that emails were disappearing from the Outlook 2013 folders that I had created, then the Junk Mail folder began to fill up.
The server was still Exchange ActiveSync...
I am having difficulty with a common and simple search, followed by selection to view, for emails that are filed in various Outlook folders.
The scenario is that I want to find an email by a person "Wadley". I know there may be a dozen or 30 emails from/to, perhaps 2-3 years old. Searching for...
This is possibly a bit off-topic, but I haven't found a reason for this. (and it may be in the wrong forum)
I have .msg files saved by either Outlook 2010 or 2013 desktops, or .eml files saved a long time ago from Outlook Express (etc).
I cannot open them by double-clicking on the file (from...
Yes, that worked well with the script - I have done that for one account (not the one transitioned to Exchange, but I will do that in a few minutes).
Below, not important - just a remark:
I did try MFCMAPI out of curiosity (I backed up the Outlook part of the registry first), but it tells me...
I'm not sure if any of the solutions, in the article you pointed to, do address the (minor) problem that I have.
It is best illustrated with a couple of images (Outlook.com account, Microsoft Exchange server, in Outlook 2010 desktop on Windows 10).
It is the "parent" above Inbox that I...
An outlook.com account that is now migrated to the "new servers" - by dropping the account from desktop Outlook 2010, quitting Outlook etc and establishing it again - was created with the parent folder name* displaying theperson@outlook.com
When the account was connected by MAPI I was able to...
I have had one desktop (outlook.com account) updated about 4-5 days ago, but not another (same location, both configured in similar way - mix of POP3 and outlook.com, but different email accounts on each). The one still on MAPI has an Outlook.com and a Hotmail.com and a POP3 account.
But a...
What you might do, is to send an email to yourself (with your signature of course) and then see how large the received file is. Also, you can open the received email and see all the "code" within it (including headers).
Maybe it's not so large?
