Can't Sign in to Outlook

I am using Microsoft outlook 2007 with the latest version of the Outlook Connector on a Windows 7 RC machine (MSN/Hotmail HTTP Mail Account). Many times when I run Outlook, I get a message that Outlook couldn't sign in to the server. I might get this message five times in a row, and then finally I can sign in. Sometimes when I click on the Outlook icon to run the program, Outlook doesn't start, and the cursor turns into a hourglass, and then back to a regular cursor. Before I installed the Outlook Connector, I had problems where I seemed to be continually prompted for my password when I started Outlook.




I've tried repairing and reinstalling both Outlook and the Outlook Connector. I've deleted my mail account and recreated it. I've tried everything I can think of with no success: Outlook still has problems signing in to the mail server. I can use Windows Live Mail without any problems.




Any ideas???

Usually when the Connector pops up the password dialog it means the connection to the internet is either down or very poor and outlook can't properly talk to the server.

It could be because of network issues - poor connection on dialup, weak wireless signal, or just general network issues beyond your control (either with the ISP or mail provider).

It could be hardware or software on your computer or local network: firewall or router problems. If you suspect this, reset the modem and/or router.

I have Qwest DSL (MSN Premium), and I don't have any problems using the Internet. I've reset the modem/router, but it didn't make any difference. Is there anything I can do to isolate what the problem might me?
