Ever notice that the fonts in Outlook seem to be depend on the build?

I thought the fonts were strictly controlled by Windows, but Outlook fonts are definitely bolder and more readable in same installs than others. A second tier MS tech agreed w me that he's seen it but it made no sense.
 
I've never noticed it, but I use 2 different systems with different resolutions so I'm used to slight changes.

It could be the build, the computer screen, whether clear test is enabled. A few months ago there were some issues with tiny text (required a reboot or two to fix) but that is the only issue I'm aware of. Oh, and they did some work in the reading pane / compose header area - font sizes changed there as they tweaked it. I thought only insiders saw that though.
