Hide Default Folders in PST

Just changed laptops and went from XP to Win7. Using Outlook 2010 and have moved all of my PST's.

On the XP machine none of my PST's showed the following default folders: Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items. However, they all show up on the Win7 machine. I can't figure out how to hide them on the new Win 7 machine and have no idea if i deliberately hid them on the XP machine or not. '

I know I could just add these to the favorites folder but i have about 6 PST's and several have the same folder in each PST.

Any thoughts?

So you are seeing those mail folders + calendar, contacts, tasks etc? If so you are in the Folder list pane. Use Ctrl+1 to jump back to the Mail pane.
 
No, this is in the mail pane.

the folders I see in every PST in Win 7 are:

Inbox

Sent Items

Deleted Items

for the XP folders all I see is the Deleted Items, the other two are gone or hidden.

I have about 8 PST's open in outlook and while it seems silly the additional two items in every PST do take up a good chunk of real estate
