Auto-reply from default account

Since I was hired at a company, I have two email accounts and am also responsible for the emails of the previous employee. So, basically, whatever email I send should come from my default account rather than the old employee account.

Example
If I receive a new email on the old employee account, I should reply from my default account rather than the old employee account.

The email admin has a couple of options:

Do you have the mailbox in your profile as an account? If it was in as a shared mailbox and you did not have Send as permissions, messages would be from your address.

Another option is the user's address is removed from the account and added to your mailbox as a secondary smtp address. All mail to that address would be delivered to your address and replies would be from your address. If they need to keep the mailbox, add a new address to it - I use alias-old@domain format - and convert it to a shared mailbox and remove the license.
