Legacy Outlook on Mac Email Cache

I am new to Mac. Using Mac Sonoma on a new Macbook Air. On windows I can choose to keep 6 months of emails cached and if I need to go further back it pulls up the emails as needed. I have done this to keep my OST from getting to big. My storage use is around 70GB. I have MS 365 E3.

On mac, is the entire mailbox cached to the system? I do not see an option like in windows. Will I have issue the offline storage file. My windows would get corrupt time to time so that is why I limit the size now.
