unable to get my new install of Outlook to display mailboxes in the single-line format.

I am unable to get my new install of MS-Outlook (Outlook LTSC version 2408 (part of Microsoft Office LTSC Professional 2024) on Windows 10 LTSC.)

to display mailboxes in the single-line format. The parameter I am using is View> View Settings> Other Settings > Other Options. I have the "Always use single-line layout" radio button set to on.

The display switches from one-line to two-line, when I change this parameter on another Outlook install (- ver 2501 Home and Business 2019)

(I vaguely recall having this problme years or decades ago and the fix was in File> Options> Mail)
 
Problem solved. The parameter I was looking for was View> Message Preview - When this is turned off, it displays a one line per email.
