Unable to dismiss reminders from share point list calendar shared in Outlook

I have a user who has 3 calendars in total. One is her own calendar, another one is another user's and the third one is the share point list calendar. Outlook version is Home & Business 2010 64 bit and it is installed on a Windows 10 machine.

Now, if we create a calendar entry on Sharepoint calendar, especially if it is an all day event, we are unable to dismiss the reminder for this entry, as it comes up with the following message and it is quite irritating: "Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. The operation cannot be performed because the message has been changed".

I have tried several things like Outlook /cleanreminder, updating the office, repair etc but none of this has helped.

Any help is highly appreciated!

This is from the reminder dialog? If you go into the calendar and open it, then remove the reminder, does it work?

Hello Diane,

Thank you for your reply. It would temporarily work but then for any future calendar entries on the share point calendar, we get the same message again. Especially if it is an All Day event.

Any ideas?
