Hi,
I have already posted my question in two communities on Reddit, but I thought I would ask in this forum as well.
I am disabled and in a wheelchair. I have a HP OmniBook X Flip 16-ar0014ca Next Gen AI laptop as a communication device to speak. My hands don't work, therefore I have to use software in order to operate my mouse and keyboard. I recently downloaded Microsoft 365 along with the iCloud for Windows app on my laptop. In the iCloud app on Windows, I have enabled the "Calendars and Contacts" option and I can see my iCloud calendar in Outlook. However, when I enable "Calendar Peek" by right clicking on the Calendar icon in the top-left corner > Dock the Peek, it doesn't display any iCloud calendar events in the "Peek". Here is a screenshot: Peek calendar hosted at ImgBB . If I click on the calendar icon, I can see my iCloud calendar events. I would like to my iCloud calendar in the Calendar Peek as well. From what I understand, this can be done by setting "iCloud" as the default "Data File" in Outlook (classic.) However, I tried to follow Set Another Data File as Default When Using an Exchange Account | Slipstick Systems but once I add my Exchange/Hotmail in Outlook (classic), it keeps changing my default "Data File" to my Hotmail account. If I try to set "iCloud" as my default data file, I get the following error message:
If I double click my Hotmail account under the "Email" tab (with Outlook closed,) the option "Use Cached Exchange Mode" is grayed out but enabled. Under the "Advanced" tab, I have disabled the "Use Cached Exchange Mode" but it seems to keep getting enabled when I click apply and OK.
However when I remove my Hotmail account from Outlook (and only have my Gmail account,) I can set "iCloud" as the default data file and the To-do Bar sees my iCloud calendar events perfectly. Am I missing something? Should my Hotmail account in Outlook be an IMAP instead? I am going to be using two email accounts daily in Outlook.
Thank you
