Outlook for smartphone with non-microsoft email address

I currently use Microsoft Outlook 2010 on my laptop at home to access my Centurylink email address (example@centurylink.net). Is it possible to get Outlook loaded on my smartphone (Droid Razr M) and snyc it with my outlook at home? I don't care so much about the calendar use, mainly just being able to receive emails on the go. If this requires me to download an app, which one should I use, and is there a free app?
