Hello,

One of our users has lot of issues since we migrated her from exchange 2007 to 2013. Her mailbox has 7 Gb, she has several favorite links to public folders.
She gets constantly an error message when trying to delete a message and finaly the message is deleted.
"the item cannot be deleted. it was either moved or already deleted or access was denied"
And also "network problems are preventing connection to microsoft exchange".
"Connection to Microsoft Exchange has been lost. Outlook will restore the connection when possible."
And her meeting reminders (in the past and future) constantly show up.
When I do gpresult it says the connexion is fast.
I've collected some logs from outlook but when I open them with eventvwr there is nothing interresting except eventids and severity.
Her outlook profile was redone and her mailbox moved to another database but still the same problems.
Caching is disabled.

Can you delete emails if they are moved into a subfolder? Can you delete them if you use OWA? What does event viewer tell you about the connection failures. I assume this client's DNS settings are no different to others on the network that have no issues?
 
Emails are always deleted even if that error message appears. Usually outlook works normally at startup and gives error messages randomly. In eventlogs you can see several ivent ids 26 "Connection to Microsoft Exchange has been lost. Outlook will restore the connection when possible." at startup. I've tried outlook /cleanreminders and /resetfolders. The computer was also changed with no luck. Now she will be away for 2 weeks ! If the problems persist we'll try and move items from inbox and sent items to subfolders. They are more than 30000 ... But she says it was working perfectly the migration from exchange 2007 to 2013.
 
Have you tried setting up this user on a different computer in a different location in the office? Is this user connected through a different switch to others? Try setting up a basic new account on her machine with fewer emails and see if you get the same connection issues? Intermittent connections might point to some network problems / a bad NIC or bad packets bombarding the network. Have you also checked the server logs? Just ideas...hope they help!
 
She will try and open the mailbox from home with xenapp. The server logs are fine. Have also tried ping -l 1500 -t server from her computer. We have still exchange 2007 public folders loaded with TCP/IP I though this might be the bottleneck... She is connected to several public folders (in favorites) And the 2007 server is currently under stress (unarchiving and moving mailboxes). I will try and add the same public folders to my account and see the result !
