Outlook Macro Reply to a message

Tried setting up a rule in Outlook using what's available and hitting a roadblock.

I have a rule that looks at the color category, if it matches then reply to that message using a customized OFT. Then I want to use a special email address that I have send as permission on, and also do not use the default account signature. After it replies the message is moved to a "processed" subfolder in Outlook.

I can do most with a rule but I cannot send as and send without the default signature.

Appears i'll need a macro that can do this. It would be helpful if Outlook lets you convert a rule to VBA so I can just add what I need.

Anyone already have something similar done?
 
You'll need to use a run a script rule - the rule will handle the conditions and the macro handles the actions. although, if you are using categories to in the template, doing it all in the script will be better.

This macro should work as a base - http://www.slipstick.com/developer/run-a-script-rule-autoreply-using-a-template/

Assuming the template name is identical to the category name, use ("C:\path\to\" item.categories & ".oft") to find the template.

There is a reg key that should block the signature on template. if you weren't using a template, you could copy the item.body to orespond.body. http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/email/signatures-on-custom-forms-templates/

changing the sending account will work too - is the address you want to use in the profile as an account or is it a shared address you have send as permission to use?
