I have a friend who is about to leave a job and would like to copy her email folders to a PST and save them to her personal computer before she leaves. She is on a dedicated Exchange server. If she uses the Export feature inside of Outlook to export her mail, contacts, etc. to a PST, would she leave a trace on the Exchange server that she did this? I'm not sure what and if its detectable. Thanks.

No, it won't leave a trace. It's possible export to a pst and creation of a pst is disabled though.

Note: she shouldn't take messages and contacts without approval though, as the company owns the data. (Personal messages and contacts are ok.)
