How to use Comas in a picklist in Outlook forms

I have a field in an Outlook form which is a dropdown listing cities and the corresponding States.

The dropdown options should appear as follows

  • New York, NY
  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • Lincoln, NE
  • Boston , MA

So I set it up as follows in the properties

Issue: When I save the form, Microsoft Forms immediately converts the comas into semi colons and the resulting dropdown looks like this

Question: Is there any syntax or setting I can use to get Outlook forms not to delimit by coma or immediately change comas into semicolons ?

Please tell me what you mean by scripting. At this point I can only update the list of possible values manually.
