I needed Julian dates in my Outlook calendar, here's my rather basic, but functional solution using Outlook 2010 on Win7:
>>>Follow Diane's strategy to import countdown calendar, using CSV or Excel 03-07
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/countdown.htm
1. Create the Excel Spreadsheet using "Start Date" and "Subject" as column headers. Add 3rd column "Show time as"
2. Start Date is "1/1/2014" and Subject is "1". Then 1/2/2014 and 2; 1/3/2014 and 3, etc. Use Drag and Drop to complete through 12/31/2014. For the "Show time as" column, input "Free" and then copy to entire column.
3. Save as CSV or Excel
4. In Outlook 2010, go to File>Open>Import>Import from another program>CSV (Windows)>Select File (*.csv)>Calendar>double-click to map
5. This will insert the Julian Dates 1-365 as all day event, specify free.
