As far as I recall, you cannot get reminders from shared calendars without a

third-party add-in.

Version of Outlook? Outlook 2007 can fire reminders from more folders but I

thought it only worked on folders in the mailbox, not shared folders.

It works with loaded PST files in Outlook 2007. That's related to the

instant search. You need that running and you have to set it to also index

all the loaded PST files. It still won't work with delegate mailboxes or

public folders.

Do you want the reminder sent by email or to come up in the delegates Reminder window? Any utility that sends reminders by email can do the first. I'm not aware of any that bring the reminder up in the reminder window. The event would need to be on the delegates calendar to trigger the reminder dialog.
 
Ideally the reminder would look just like the reminders the calendar owner gets and appear in my reminder window, but if none of the tools can do that, then I would be interested in the add-in that will send a copy of the reminder to the delegates by email. The emails need to go to delegates, not the calendar owner (though I know I could put a rule on the owners' inbox to forward those reminder emails to the delegates-- I want to avoid that). Do you know which of the tools on the page I referred to will do that?
 
Yeah, none of the tools can put a reminder on the delegates calendar but any of the ones that can send email when a reminder fires can send it to delegates. I also have a VBA sample that can do it. What you could do is set a flag on the email -this will fire on the delegates computer (provided they don't have rules removing reminders, but you can tell them to set exceptions for the boss.)
