Limiting Outlook Access to Inside Network Only

I am trying to lock down my network and user access to inside network access only on a user level. I've been able to shut down most access. ie. Web outlook, POP, IMAP and such but when I shut off MAPI outlook doesn't work internally either.

I don't want particular organizational units to access email other than from at their desks.

Sorry, I just found this message. Did you ever get it solved?

The problem is that Outlook uses port 80 for outlook anywhere, so you can't block ports at the firewall. It uses Outlook Anywhere internally, so you can't easily turn off access. I would try using an internal url for access (Server config, Client access) - if they can't get into the server, they can't access it from outside. The only thing published to the internet side should be smtp servers for incoming email.
