Excel & Outlook 2003 running under Windows 7 Pro. 64 bit
I export the Outlook Calendar to an Excel file (MyData.xls) for subsequent use in another Excel application (call it Application X)
The resulting format of the exported data in MyData.xls requires manipulation (remove leading apostrophes and re-format the date) to make it suitable for use in Application X. This is done within MyData.xls with a macro called “RemoveApostrophes”
I assume that when the Calendar data is exported, Outlook opens MyData.xls to receive the data, then closes it.
How can I use the MyData.xls closing event to trigger it’s “RemoveApostrophes” macro?
Alternatively, could a suitable macro, triggered by the Outlook closing event, achieve this.
I have tried many ways of doing this without success. At some point the command <<Workbooks("MyData").Close save changes = true>
is needed, but hangs with the message "script out of range"
