Code behind form command button

I know this should be SO simple but I can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts!

I've set up a new custom eMail form and added a Command Button which should run some code when it's clicked - don't worry about what the code is to do, that's irrelevant at the moment. HOW DO I TELL THE BUTTON WHICH CODE PROCEDURE TO RUN??? I've gone through all the button's properties but I can't find a Click Event option or whatever anywhere. I'm an experienced Excel / Access developer so I know that it's a piece of cake in either of those products but I'm stumped here. Is there another option somewhere that I need to select before code assignment is possible?

This is a command button from the toolbar in forms designer? you need to click View Code enter the macro.

Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Call macro-name()

End Sub

Sub macro-name()
' whatever

End Sub
 
Ah, yes, I see now! I was expecting to right-click the command button in design mode and from there be taken into a nice cozy VBA development environment but this is a little more "raw" than that.

I think I'm OK now so thanks for the help, Diane.
