As a long-time database contractor, my single-user mission critical business-only workstation (ThinkPad T61p) runs legacy software (WinXP Pro SP3, Office XP (Outlook 2002 plus some Office 2007 compatibility updates), Kaspersky Enterprise Security (KES v10 workstation only - not server-based)) in order to support client projects.
Three months ago, a few long-time vendors' HTML Emails suddenly stopped printing to both the HPLJ 2200D B&W printer and Adobe Acrobat v10 pdf without throwing up any errors or sending a failed "print job" icon to the SysTray.
This only occurs on a small but growing percentage of regular HTML Email from these vendors. In opening their older archived HTML Email from earlier this year, the HP printer and "print to PDF" function perfectly as they always have all these years without any problems.
In trying to resolve this new bug, these vendors are pushing back blaming the legacy Outlook and will not advise on what they changed in their Email content server system in order to find an appropriate work-around resolution.
Not being well-versed in Outlook Email troubleshooting having enjoyed 14 years of mostly trouble-free operations, it would be greatly appreciated if the forum "gurus" would please kindly post back with any thoughts, ideas, theories, etc. on what might be causing this never-before experienced HTML printing problem.
After Googling and doing Slipstick searches on this, I'm truly stuck and need some help as no "hits" are coming up.
Thank you!
