Outlook 2002- "Send" button has disappeared. Help please.

The account will recieve emails just not send them.

I have:

- Deleted the email account and re-entered all of the details as using the settings from my email providers website. The "test" is succesful on all steps.

- Renamed "extend.dat" so it created a new file. This worked but seemed to have no impact on the send button vanishing.

- Played around with the taskbar settings to see if it was somehow hidden.

I am not sure what else to try. Any help would be much appreciated.
 
Can you send using Ctrl+S or Ctrl+Enter? Will it send if you set it to send immediately in options?

I'll need to boot up an old virtual machine to check - but as long as you have a working email account, the send button should be there. If there is no email account, then the send button is not shown (to the best of my recollection).

This is a pop account, correct? In account settings, select the email account - look at the change folder button at the bottom of the dialog - is it blank? If yes, click the button, select a different folder in a different data file and ok it - then go back in and choose the correct folder in the correct data file.
