OWA vs. Outlook 2016 Bandwidth

Can someone tell me which way of accessing O365 email consumes more bandwidth using OWA or Outlook 2016?
I do know some things are a factor such as calendar synching.

Also, if there is a tool or formula to calculate the b/w requirements for OWA and Outlook 2016 connecting to O365 in MS Cloud.
 
Outlook would initially, but over time it will even out somewhat. I can't recall if office 365 has a bandwidth tool but generally speaking, if you have a slow connection, outlook will feel more responsive as you can download mail then work offline. With owa, you need to wait for the content to load each time you read a message.
