Synch Outlook 365 calendar with iPhone

My wife uses Outlook 365 (subscription version, not outlook.com) on her desktop. Her Outlook calendar use to synch successfully with her iPhone 7 simply by having her iPhone close (but not connected) to her desktop. We think it was set up using iCloud rather than iTunes. It's suddenly stopped synching. Internet research revealed many possible synching methods but I'm reluctant to embark on some new synch method when we'd prefer to fix whatever caused synching to suddenly stop.

Any ideas/suggestions out there? Grateful for any help at all.
