Hi, all!
We're using Outlook 365 with Microsoft 365 backending us, on Windows 11 64-bit. We're using "old" Outlook: Version 2407 (Build 17830.20166 Click-to-Run).
Seemingly randomly, but frequently, our standard font (Gotham Light) will become "corrupted" as shown here:
It's difficult to tell if the font is displaying properly but the spacing is bizarre or if the entire font is displayed incorrectly. However, I find that this is only the case in specific point sizes -- usually 11. If you forward the message, the "corruption" will continue to display until you select all of the text and apply another point size (10 or 12, say), at which point it displays fine. If you switch it back to 11, it looks weird again.
Closing and re-opening Outlook makes the problem go away, even on the same message. However, people are having to close and re-open several times a day due to this now.
I had briefly thought that this was being caused by a GPO for distributing the fonts while Outlook was running, but I've disabled all font-related GPOs and the issue continues.
Worth noting: We have both the TTF and OTF versions of this font installed. This seemed to be required to properly cover the bases so everything would display properly in both the Microsoft 365 standalone apps and the web apps. If we should go with just one, it's not clear to me which will cover all usage cases.
