Hi All,

Help! I just picked up responsibility for an

Exchange server. And the directions do not match

my server. To say the least, I am confused.

Exchange System

Microsoft Corporation

Version: 6.5.7638.1

I am on: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124127(EXCHG.65).aspx

It says to open the "Exchange System Manager", which I have.

Then it says to open a folder called "Administrative Groups"

According to the picture in the above web page, I

should have:

Global Settings

Recipients

Administrative Groups

Tools

Not finding it. I have:

Global Settings

Recipients

Servers

Connectors

Tools

Folders

I need to get to the "system Policy" in the

"Administrative Groups". What in the world am

I missing?

Many thanks,

-T

Large Icons

Small Icons

List

Details

Customize

Only the "Action Pane" is unchecked in "Customize".

What am I missing?

Are you running Small Business Server? If so, I recommend that you post

your questions on the SBS newsgroup because that product does things

differently.

Well if it's SBS you're not going to have Admin Groups so just look at

the instructions and then scan down to see where a similar folder

thread begins again.

Exchange is really just about using a lot of common sense rather than

following instructions parrot-fashion.

Al on the SBS group answered me:

You're in the wrong display mode, goto Action-
Properties and turn on "Display routing groups"

and Display administrative groups".
