Outlook will not fetch or send emails after changes to Win .Net Framework prog

Hi


This is a long sage.


Tired to install Turbo Tax - Feb installation stopped working. Was told to remove all the Microsoft .Net Framework installation, starting with the latest. Then reinstall .Net 1.0, 2.0, insert TT disk, which loaded .Net 3.5. Turbo tax started and ran.




BUT --- outlook stopped connecting and fetching and sending emails - email up to 3 days ago are still there. (Hot Mail still works OK and all the other Outlook features work).




Removed and reinstalled .Net from 1.1 to 4.0. several times. Still no happiness with Outlook mail.


Tried to Restore to previous time. Still no luck.


Tried to remove via Windows Explorer all the .Net apps and reinstall them from the MS web site. Again no luck.




Any suggestions?

oh, and do you scan email with an antivirus scanner? Those may use net framework and if, may need to be reinstalled.
