I have around half a dozen devices which I sync mail with by using MS Exchange (2003 I think). Most of my clients are OL2010, but I just set up another client this morning on OL2k3 which has a low bandwidth connection. As such I don't want to download full messages, but only headers.
This is all well and good until I want to "find " that email I sent the other month. Switching to "sent items" folder, I can see lots of apparently already fully downloaded mailitems (there no indication that these are "headers only" items) - likely becuase sent items apparently don't have internet headers on them.
So I'm clicking through them, with the view window on, adn realising that they haven't really been downloaded. As soon as I click on a particular item, though, the mailitem is downloaded. This can be frustrating as outlook seems to "hang" for ten minutes while downloading a 5MB message.
So the question is how to browse through sent item messages (sent from another machine, but still part of the exchange "sent items" folder) without downloading the full mesasge, which, in many cases is >5MB.
