trouble with Outlook 2010 saving sent emails

Is there any way I can consistently get Outlook to save my sent emails to a folder?
 
saving sent emails

My sent emails aren't automatically being saved. How do I fix this?

Do you have the option set to Save sent messages? File, Options, Mail - about halfway down in the Save Messages section.

Are all messages affected or just some?

Are you looking in the correct sent folder? Use the folder list (Ctrl+6) to see all folders in your profile.
