Outlook 365 Outlook (part of 365) now working offline - argh

Hi - a problem with my Outlook (part of 365 office suite) has just started today (I know April 1st) which now indicates I am working offline - my Mail accounts are not through an exchange account they are pop3 types (I have x2)
Whilst I can send and receive emails, I now also get a message warning of the validation of the server’s certificates when I send/receive (which I accept as being ok) - this has only just started to happen/as has the working offline message. Also I can no longer see images which may have been included in emails - indicating that I am offline
Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated

Are you getting this error: The server you connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified.

That happens when the server name doesn't m,atch the certificate - not uncommon with custom domains when you use mail.domain.com for the server name. You either need to change the server names to the web hosts default or use a HOSTS file to trick outlook. I have information in this article:

Yep! Outlook 365 does indicate "Working Offline" on the status bar - this said, we only access pop3 mail accounts from this device (and as such it is not connected to any email exchange server permanently) - so would Working Offline be an appropriate indication?
Oh! your advice ref certification (invalid or out of date) - and the link you kindly sent above - helped me resolve that issue regarding error messages when trying to send/receive emails thru pop3 email account :) - many thanks!
Other than the Working Offline indication mentioned above, the only issue I am having at the moment is that, as the application indicates working offline, all "images" within emails can not be seen other than "X Outlook is working offline............" - and I can not find a way of downloading these images???? (previously it was simply a matter of right clicking the image space and selecting download picture)

I have updated Office 365 (inc Outlook), it is part of Office 365 Family - the device encountering the issues has been provided Office 365 from the lead family member
Within Outlook, I have gone to File, Office Account and everything seems OK bar it mentions under connected services - Office is currently offline - but if I go to another Office application (say Word) it is connected to OneDrive and online (no mention of being off line)

I am unsure as to why Outlook is offline or indeed whether it should be online if I am not connecting it to an exchange server (as I am using pop3 email accounts)

Sorry to ask such questions - but any advice/steerage that you can provide would be most welcome

Hi - after some more researching online - I think that I have got to the bottom of the issue (following sorting out the mail server certifications - thanks again :) ) - the Outlook Profile appears to have been corrupted (argh!)
Thus, I have established a replacement (identical as far as email accounts are concerned) profile - and all appears to be good! :)
