Send email from Outlook Alias using Mac?

Hi. I switched to Mac a little while ago after being lifelong Windows user. There’s been a little pain in the transition ; )
I want to be able to send an email from an alias - but there is no “From” drop-down field. It used to be there! I just have To, CC, BCC, Subject. Is there a field chooser that will allow me to add “From” field? I get nothing when I right click on the Ribbon.

It works on my iPad, so worst case, that is how I will continue to do it, just wanted to have the function on my Mac too. thanks! Donna
 
Do you have more than one email account? From will definitely show then. Select different accounts by clicking on the address, not "From"

I don't see an option to show the from field.... will need to remove all but one account to see if it goes away.
 
Are you using legacy or new outlook?

It looks the same with all accounts removed - the blue icon to show or hide the header area is gone but otherwise, looks identical to the screenshot above.

The account I have in Outlook is an exchange account with multiple aliases. It's possible it only shows if you have other addresses to switch to.

When I remove it and add a gmail, I still have From field but can't type in a new From address.

I do have more than one email and ‘From’ shows all of them when I am using Outlook on the iPad. It only shows one email
 
I accidentally posted the previous reply. I do have more than one email. I just checked Outlook on the Mac and it is now showing the “From” field, with all my emails available to choose. I had originally posted this in Jul 2024 and hadn’t checked that field in a while. So I’m glad it came up again ; ) I did switch to the ‘New’ Outlook recently, don’t know if that is why it’s working or something else, but I did not have the option to select an email to for sending before. thanks!

I had seen that and thought it was an odd reply, but I didn’t think of it being a spammer. I just thought, I’m not clicking to try anything! But it’s a good reminder for me. I am generally very suspicious and careful of texts, links, emails, etc. But I don’t immediately think of spammers being in forums. They’re out there!
