Outlook opens in a small window

This is probably easy to fox but I can't figure it out. When I open Outlook

(2007) or restore it from being minimized it opens in a small window and I

have to click maximize every time. This didn't happen until I installed

Windows 7. Any suggestions?

Don't maximize it. Instead, drag the window's borders larger. Windows will remember this larger size.
 
Right click on the Outlook icon on your desktop and select Properties and in the Run

box select Maximized. Hit Apply and back out. Open Outlook. Does it open maximized

Do you want it maximized or just bigger?

The usual fix is to resize the window & close it. An old Windows trick for

setting window sizes also works with Outlook 2007: hold down the shift key

and double click in the top left corner of the window. This will close the

window and when you reopen, it should remember the size and location.

You need to verify that outlook closed completely in task manager, processes

tab. If it's left running, its being forced closed and the changes won't

stick.
 
Had the same problem - outlook opened in a small window but THOUGHT it was in a large window. Every time I had to restore down then maximize to get full screen. Here's how I fixed it. Open Outlook and maximize it. Right click taskbar "Show windows stacked" Close Outlook. Open Outlook - opened full screen for me. Right click task bar undo stacked. Tada!
