Greetings!

Is it possible after creating a draft email to have a date show on the printed version of the email? For example, when you print a sent email it it has a line on the printed copy that says "Sent: May 3, 2012 3:15 PM". I would like something similar on the printed copy of the draft email that says something like "Created: May 3, 2012 3:15 PM".

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
 
Thanks for the fast reply! Your solutions does work but it is not exactly what the users want. The method you mentioned puts the date in the header. The users want to see the date in the section that shows From:John Doe, To: Jane Smith, Subject: 2013 Budget. When you print a sent email it shows the Sent: date. I want to show a date like that. Is there any way to edit the codes of that print section so that we can add the (creation date or print date) date field.

Right - it's not what users really want, but short of using an addin to print, its the only way. (Well, you could type the date into th draft too.)

The print template is not editable.

Control How Messages are Printed | Slipstick Systems has some printer utilites - I don't know if any of the apps there can add the date.
