Outlook Archiving sent emails which have been moved to inbox folders

Hi, I have a user working on a Windows 7, 64-bit operating system and using office 2010. he has individual folders for all of his email contacts and he has been manually moving his sent emails to the correlating persons folder.

When an auto archive runs on his account none of the sent emails which have been moved to the inbox folders are being detected and moved by the auto archive rules. can anyone advise on this (is this a known issue).
