All,
I have an issue where on replies to certain emails, outlook locks up completely, needs to be restarted and I lose what I have typed. Outlook is 100% stable when receiving and reading emails and replying to 90% of emails. I can't see any difference in the ones where it crashes and the others.
This suddenly started a month ago while I was using Outlook 2007. I ran the scanpst tool, and also upgraded to 2013 to see if that would fix it - it's exactly the same.
The bad news is that I can't tell which emails which I reply to it will happen. The good news is that if it happens on one particular email, then it will happen on that one all the time so I can reproduce the issue. Other things I have tried are clearing the contents of the email that I am replying to - in which case the reply sends fine. Hence it's not the recipient, or our email server - it must be something in the email itself that is locking up. Perhaps a graphic?
I have run through most of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2652320/en-gb and have disabled all plug ins. I have even deleted all email accounts other than just my main one to no avail. My .PST is 1.8Gb. I have deleted the .SRS
Any ideas?
many thanks
Rob
